    • You can use a small jeweler’s file, usually sold in a pack of various styles, sold in good hardware stores, or check online at Micro-Mark.

Sanding wands sold at Micro-Mark are good too.

Also the Lee Oskar kit has nice tools, no files, instead has 2 nice sharp chisels, plus other must have tools.

Suggest getting Rupert Oysler’s Harmonica Maintenance and Repair DVD.

    • hey man whenever i inhale on harmonica 2nd reed it sounds like im rolling my toungue

I’m not sure what it’s doing from the description. If you don’t mind, please tell me a little more about what it’s doing.

    • What happens when you’re sharp?

    • elkriverharmonicas

It’s rare one will be sharp, usually when it is I’ve taken off too much metal from one that’s flat and need to bring it down in pitch.
If the reed is very sharp, you’ll have to take the harp apart and tune from the reed side, if it’s like tuning, you can take a file and make some light scratches on the rivet end of the reed, in the center and away from the reedslot.

    • Cool, Paddy tonight! If I ever meet y0u I owe you a rib dinner

    • i have to blow rly hard to get sound outta the 10th hole, Lee oskar Major Diatonic Harmonica, just got it, is that normal?

@Lolwerty12 It’s gapped too high. Unfortunately, those issues up high are pretty common with a lot of makes.
